Our friendly, fully funded social group is open to all, including people living with dementia, their carers, and those supported by other care agencies, offering a wonderful opportunity to enjoy time with others in the beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces at The Canal & Rivers Trust site at Canal Cottage, Rosegrove. Each session is relaxed, welcoming, and completely pressure‑free, allowing conversations and activities to unfold naturally based on the interests of those who attend. Weekly activities may include gentle mobility, conversation, reminiscence, crafts, snacks, and other nature‑inspired experiences, all shaped by the needs and preferences of the group. You don’t need to bring anything as all equipment and refreshments are provided, though we recommend dressing for the weather so you can enjoy the outdoor areas comfortably. We are a dementia‑friendly group, committed to creating a safe, supportive environment for everyone. In cases of extreme or adverse weather, we simply make use of the cosy indoor community room at Canal Cottage, where toilets are also available, ensuring the group remains comfortable and enjoyable in all conditions.
