FRIENDS IN NATURE FOR PEOPLE LIVING WITH DEMENTIA AND THEIR CARERS
Billington & Langho Community Centre, off Whalley Road, Langho, BB68AB
Meeting on Monday Mornings from 1030am - 12 noon, join us for this session where you have the chance to meet others in similar situations.
We are currently meeting INDOORS at Billington & Langho Community Centre.
Our Monday Morning Sessions offer a warm, relaxed space for anyone who would like to join us. The group is open to people living with dementia, their carers, and anybody who would benefit from friendly company and gentle activities. We also warmly welcome other care agencies who wish to bring the people they support.
Each session is calm, informal, and shaped by the interests of those attending. There is never any pressure to take part—people are free to join in as much or as little as they like.
Activities vary weekly and may include:
-
Gentle mobility
-
Conversation and reminiscence
-
Crafts
-
Snacks
-
Campfire‑themed activities
All activities are user‑led, ensuring they reflect the needs and preferences of the group.
You don’t need to bring anything. All equipment, materials, and refreshments are provided.
Who Can Attend
Everyone is welcome—individuals, carers, families, and support workers from other care organisations.
Support on Hand
These sessions are supported by Ribble Valley Crossroads Care. Their team is always present to offer help, reassurance, and support for both attendees and their carers.
